GC Rieber Shipping's core activities involves development, design, construction and maritime operation of specialised vessel within the offshore shipping business. The business is organised into three segments: Subsea, Marine Seismic and Ice / Support.
Our subsea vessels can provide a wide range of subsea services, including IMR and construction support. Our vessels are specially designed for operation under severe weather conditions.
GC Rieber Shipping has been involved in offshore exploration and development with dynamically positioned subsea vessels since the 1980s. Our vessels can provide services such as offshore contruction, Inspection Maintenance and Repair (IMR), ROV support, ploughing, cable laying and pipe laying operations.
GC Rieber Shipping operates four high capacity seismic vessels on behalf of Shearwater Geoservices. The fleet is among the newest and most modern in the industry today. Shearwater Geoservices is owned 50/50 by Rasmussengruppen and GC Rieber Shipping.
Ownership and operation of seismic vessels has been part of GC Rieber Shipping’s activities since the late 1960s. Trough decades, the company has acquired a unique competence in offshore Exploration activities under harsh environments, as well as design, development and maritime operation of seismic vessels including the Arctic and Antarctic areas.
GC Rieber Shipping offers independent and competitive services for scientific expeditions and logistics operations, as well as services to the oil and gas sector in the demanding Polar regions.
