What are you looking for in a candidate?
When recruiting new staff we look for people with the knowledge and experience that will help us grow. It is also important to us that our staff are able to identify with our core values: creativity, diligence and responsibility.
Which types of jobs do you recruit for?
We recruit for all our three areas of business: industry, shipping and property. We are looking for everything from creative marketing staff and business developers, enterprising project managers and process operators to conscientious accounting staff, technical inspectors and QHSE staff. Vacancies across the corporation are advertised on our website under “Career”. GC Rieber is always on the lookout for talented candidates for exciting and challenging positions.
Do you offer traineeships/internships/summer jobs?
We currently have no available internships.
GC Rieber is looking to run a trainee programme aimed at newly qualified candidates seeking a career in industry, shipping and property every 3–4 years. Using placements in different units across the GC Rieber corporation, the aim is to develop future leaders that in turn will further develop our business ideas and spot new opportunities.
The start of the next trainee programme will be announced well in advance.

May I write my Bachelor's/Master's thesis on your company?
There is no established scheme to accommodate this, but if you have a good hypothesis/idea, we are open to considering a collaboration.
Which GC Rieber companies offer international experience?
Bergen is the market for the Eiendom division, while our Industri and Shipping segments operate globally with customers and suppliers all over the world.
What development opportunities are there at GC Rieber?
Skills development is an integral part of the job for every GC Rieber employee. We should like to stress that skills development is closely linked to the company's needs and to the individual employee's specific job description and any planned career development. The annual appraisal is an important arena for discussing and drawing up concrete plans for skills development.
